“It is one thing to photograph people. It is another to make others care about them by revealing the core of their humanness.” – Paul Strand
As long as I can remember I’ve loved sitting down and people watching. I can still remember being a kid at Disneyland, even with the rides and entertainment everywhere, I was still drawn to the people and some of the most memorable moments where sitting and watching people pass by. My favourite game at restaurants still today is to look around and make up stories in my head about the people sitting around me.
That draw to people is why most of my photography has a very human element. Even when it’s not a portrait my photography usually tells a human story. I want people to see my photos and relate or engage with the human element. There is a story in every face, there is a story in every body.
